Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Rainn Wilson and Natalie Portman will star in HESHER an indie from first time director Spencer Susser. Gordon-Levitt will play Hesher, a 20-something slacker who invades the life of an awkward 13 year-old that lives with his pill-popping father (Wilson), who’s trying to keep the family together after his wife’s death. Portman plays the supermarket check-out girl the teen falls in love with after she saves him from bullies.
And I mean sure, you’d fall in love with Natalie Portman after she saved you from bullies. But you’d also fall in love with her if she threw orphan babies at oncoming traffic like she was Tom Brady. So this dude obviously over-wrote this thing. You can tell this is his first feature.
