So far I’ve been pretty impressed with what I’ve seen with MUTANT CHRONICLES. The film, which stars Thomas Jane, Ron Perlman and John Malkovich, takes place during a war in 2707 when a “horrific mutant army” is awoke from its prison deep within the earth. As they threaten all of mankind, a squad of soldiers is dispatched into the earth to try and stop them.
Today we’ve got an exclusive clip from the film and this isn’t just some :30 teaser of exposition. This is an extended two-and-a-half minute clip that takes place during the opening war of the film. It’s a good setup for everything that’s to come. You can check the clip out below and the entire film will be available on VOD starting March 27th and will open in New York and LA on April 24th. UPDATE – I’m told MUTANT will debut on standard cable two days before it’s theatrical debut on HDNet. It was run on April 22nd back-to-back-to-back starting at 8pm.
