Lexi gets Hex?

JoBloJoBlo

While director Lexi Alexander anxiously awaits the audience/box office response to this week’s PUNISHER: WAR ZONE (after surviving whatever turmoil occurred behind the scenes), she’s giving consideration to her next project.

Could she be slipping into the recently vacated director’s chair for Warner Bros.’ adaptation of the DC Comic JONAH HEX? Alexander tells Latino Review that she’s certainly digging the possibility: “I like it even more that Mr. Josh Brolin is still attached. Who knows if he’ll stay, but it’s more exciting than I thought. You get a story like this you think, ‘Oh God, I’m going to be doing the same thing over and over again.’ but it’s really, really interesting.”

On the other hand, she admits there are changes she would make to the existing script (by CRANK guys Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor), and that other directors are in the running for the flick, which follows an Old West bounty hunter with a notorious reputation and a horrifically scarred mug.
