I’ve gone on the record as saying NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM was as unfunny a comedy I’ve ever seen. Yet I look at the upcoming sequel – NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2: ESCAPE FROM THE SMITHSONIAN – and I can’t help but be intrigued. Perhaps it’s because they’ve somehow assembled an insanely talented and funny cast that makes me wonder how they could possibly screw it up.
In addition to stars Ben Stiller, Ricky Gervais, Robin Williams, Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan, who are returning from the original film, the sequel adds Amy Adams (swooon), Christopher Guest, Jonah Hill, Hank Azaria, Bill Hader, Ed Helms, Craig Robinson and Eugene Levy. That’s pretty impressive. USA Today has debuted a bunch of new stills from the film that show off some of the film’s new characters.
