Seth Rogen has been having such an amazing run with comedies that he’s attempting to make cancer funny. The actor has signed on to star in and produce the upcoming comedy I’M WITH CANCER. Rogen will produce the film with writing partner Evan Goldberg and former “Daily Show” head writer Ben Karlin. Written by Will Reiser, the film is an autobiographical tale of a 25-year-old who finds out he has cancer and his subsequent struggle to beat the disease. Reiser worked with Rogen on “Da Ali G Show” and with Karlin at HBO. The project is set up at Mandate Pictures where Rogen also has JAY AND SETH VS. THE APOCALYPSE in pre-production. Rogen recently wrapped filming on OBSERVE AND REPORT and has ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO set for release later this month. He’s next set to star in THE GREEN HORNET for director Stephen Chow. Mandate is fast-tracking CANCER and will send the script out to directors later this month.
