Ladies and Gentlemen it looks like our boy Big Willie may finally win that Oscar. In what is sure to have voters and moviegoers all weepy-eyed during this coming holiday season, Smith gives us SEVEN POUNDS, another collaboration with his PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS director Gabriele Muccino. The film follows Smith as an IRS agent who embarks on a journey of redemption by forever changing the lives of seven strangers. Judging by the trailer, he also gets to bone Rosario Dawson. I know this is not exactly the role we’re used to seeing Smith in, but the film looks like a solid drama if nothing else, and although at times overblown, I’m pretty sure when it’s released, I’ll be crying in the front row with the rest of you.
