Could SUPERMAN be heading back to the screen in a big LORD OF THE RINGS style trilogy? Well…maybe, especially if Mark Millar gets his way. You might know Millar as the creator of WANTED and the upcoming KICK-ASS (with Matthew Vaughn directing Nic Cage) but he’s also done Superman work for DC. Millar, who’s never bashful of self-promotion, talked to G4 and says he pitched Warner Bros. on a “big three-picture Superman thing, like a Lord of the Rings epic, starting over from scratch again with a seven-hour Superman story.” Millar has been spreading the word that he’s working with a “well known” director on the pitch but that name has yet to be revealed. Millar says he expects to hear the fate of his pitch over the next few weeks. For now, check out G4’s interview with Millar where he talks about his epic plan, WANTED parts 2 and 3 and KICK-ASS.
