Poor Thomas Jane. After it came out that he had done an unsanctioned pic of himself as Jonah Hex in the hopes of landing the role, it turns out now that he in fact hasn’t scored himself the gig. Directors Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine quashed the rumor on The Movie Blog Uncut:
We’re excited about looking for the lead… We have some options for Jonah Hex…. We had never brought his name up, he’s great, we like him…We don’t see the guy as Jonah Hex, to be quite honest with you. But we like him. We’re totally stoked that he would do that, it’s so awesome… He’ll show up in one of our movies.”
Why does no one seem to appreciate Thomas Jane? The guy is awesome. I see him much like an older version of me. People often point out the similarities. I can laugh them off all I want but they are undeniable and at some point a DNA test will surely be in order.
