Apparently, ‘Rant’ by Chuck Palahniuk (FIGHT CLUB) has been his latest novel to be optioned. There are no details other than that, and that it is already in the early stages of development. When reached for a comment Palahniuk vaulted onto his diamond encrusted Nimbus 2000 and said “ch-ching, mother fuckers!!”
In the novel, Buster “Rant” Casey escapes from his hometown to becomes the leader of an urban demolition derby called Party Crashing, where participants dress their cars with tin-can tails, “Just Married” toothpaste graffiti, and other refuse, then look for designated markings in order to stalk and crash into each other. The book chronicles Casey’s short life in a series of oral testimonies by friends he made crashing.
