I have not yet seen the upcoming Miramax drama THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS but I can tell you it’s one of the most depressing stories I’ve ever read. The film is based on the novel on the same name and follows a boy who’s father, a Nazi soldier, moves their family to a new home (near Auschwitz where’s he’s been transferred). As the boy is exploring his new backyard, he comes across a fence and on the other side of the fence is a boy in striped pajamas. They strike up a friendship and to say anymore would be giving the film away. Let’s just say you won’t want to go skipping through the park after you see this. The film, starring Vera Farmiga and David Thewlis, hits theaters this November but you can check out the trailer now in JoBlo Video or in HD at Apple’s trailer page.
Saddest movie ever?
