Vastly under-appreciated character actor Clifton Collins Jr. recently spoke to E! Online about his role in the J.J. Abrams directed prequel reboot STAR TREK and while he didn’t spill any major scoopage – young Kirk banged Spock’s mother and is really Spock’s father! – he did mention a few interesting tidbits. First off, since he and fellow baddie Eric Bana are Romulans, the filmmakers hired a linguist to flesh out the Romulan language (it’s apparently never been done) for Collins and Bana to learn. Secondly, when describing their characters, he had this to say: “We’re space pirates. Think of Johnny Depp as a Romulan.” Holy crap, space pirates! The only thing better would be if they were space pirate ninjas! Though he didn’t say they aren’t space pirate ninjas so there’s hope! Finally, we may be seeing some big star cameos, though Collins wouldn’t mention who or how. Can you say William Shatner? Read about it over HERE.
