Ramirez is Pablo

JoBloJoBlo

After having Javier Bardem drop out of KILLING PABLO, Joe Carnahan has replaced the actor with someone new. That someone new is Edgar Ramirez. CHUD got the email from the big guy: “I spent the last week in Colombia with Edgar Ramirez talking ‘Pablo’ and he has every intention of portraying Escobar and I couldn’t be more fired up by the prospect. He’s coming at it with boundless enthusiasm, conviction to the role and and the understanding that he’s going to have to pack on anywhere from 35 to 40lbs.”

Javier Bardem strikes me as the kind of guy where if you let someone take something originally his, he says something like “Replace me? I crush your family. Call it”. And then flips a coin. The key is to punch him while the coin is at the apex of its flight, just like how you deal with Twoface. Trust me.
