Ricky sees dead people

GHOST TOWN

Normally, anything “Office” creator and all around comedy genius Ricky Gervais is involved in (except, of course, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM) is something to get tickled pink about so when he agreed to star alongside Greg Kinnear and Tea Leoni in the comedy GHOST TOWN, scripted and directed by David Koepp, no less, we were all “hells yeah!”

What’s more, it’s a pretty solid comedy premise – he would be playing a cantankerous dentist who dies for seven minutes during a colonoscopy and subsequently starts seeing dead people who annoy the hell out of him with their unfinished business.

Well, the first trailer for the film recently made its way onto the internets and boy, it’s a little painful to watch. There’s some amusing moments but generally, there’s not a whole lot of funny. Which is tricky considering it’s a comedy. Let’s hope they’re just leaving the best bits for the actual movie. Click through to check it out. Gervais is annoyed by dead people on August 19th.
