Tera loves Quentin?

JoBloJoBlo

I know that we’re all still patiently awaiting Quentin Tarantino’s INGLORIOUS BASTARDS (which has more buzz than THE X-FILES 2 and it hasn’t even started filming yet) but perhaps Quentin’s got something else up his sleeve in addition to BASTARDS. Variety’s Liz Smith says that Tarantino is “eager to remake” FASTER PUSSYCAT! KILL! KILL! and that “he thinks he may” have found his star in Tera Patrick. Just reading the 80-something Smith typing “erotic performer” is entertaining enough and while this is a juicy enough rumor, I doubt its veracity somewhat. For one, she talks a lot about what Tarantino is thinking but has no direct quotes from him – only from Patrick (“I’d love to cross over and do ‘regular movies’!”). Traci Lords was quasi-successful in crossing over from porn (she’s got a role in the upcoming Seth Rogen comedy ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO) but other than that it hasn’t been easy going (Jenna Jameson was on her way before all that plastic surgery). But could Tera be the next Uma? There might have been one time when Tarantino would have done a FASTER PUSSYCAT movie but that was probably pre-GRINDHOUSE and I’m sure now he’s devoted most of his resources to BASTARDS. It’s possible Tarantino just watches too much porn and told someone off-hand he’d cast her in a movie (wink-wink, nudge-nudge) or just as likely that Patrick has a good publicist (consider Page Six ran a similar rumor earlier this month).
