Brittany Murphy recently got the boot from the upcoming Disney film TINKERBELL, so she’s decided to go in the complete opposite direction. The actress will star in the thriller DEADLINE, which producers describe as a “SHINING-style” movie. Piece of advice: when you’re trying to make an indie thriller it’s probably best to not name drop one of the most classic horror films of all time. Just a good rule of thumb. In the movie, Murphy will play a screenwriter who travels to an abandoned house to overcome a crippling case of writer’s block. There she goes mad…mad I tell you, MAAAAAAAD!!! I smell an upcoming Awfully Good column… Joining Murphy are Thora Birch, Marc Blucas and Tammy Blanchard. Sean McConville is making his directorial debut on the project, which begins filming next week in Louisiana.
