INT: Kate Bosworth

JoBloJoBlo

I have to say I was a little nervous to interview Kate Bosworth. Not because she’s a hottie and I’m a schlub and there should inherently be some nerves on my part. I’m kinda past that after being a schlub for all these years (just check out that screengrab below). But because in my experience, sometimes when you meet starlets in person that you like on the big screen, you’re often disappointed by them off-screen.

Happily, I was not disappointed by Bosworth. Though she’s from New England she had a very Southern charm, not unlike Reese Witherspoon. She nonchalantly ate a banana before our interview began (there’s a joke here but it’s too easy, even for me) and jokingly asked me to check her teeth for any errant banana bits (there were none). She wasn’t bitchy, catty, boring, stand-offish or any of the other things you’d be afraid of – in fact she was the complete opposite. A de-light. Check it out below (and while you’re at it, check out 21, in theaters today).
