Another day, another remake. This time, the 1978 cult horror classic ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES!, in which a mutated band of ravenous, homicidal tomatoes go on a terrorizing rampage, is being remade. The creators of the popular web series, “Ask a Ninja”, Kent Nichols and Douglas Sarine, having paid their dues toiling away in the internet YouTubes coal mines, have been promoted into the niche horror outskirts of Hollywood. One small step for Sarine and Nichols, one giant step for killer tomatoes. They both will be scripting with Nichols making his directorial debut. Nichols had this to say of the remake: “‘Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!’ is the masterwork of a generation. We can only aspire to recapture that magic.” True that, brother.
