Rosemary’s Bay?

JoBloJoBlo

Say what you want about Michael Bay, but the guy loves classic cinema. After all, it provides material for plenty of remakes!

According to STYD, Bay’s Platinum Dunes production company isn’t content to remake Hitchcock’s THE BIRDS (CGI gulls!), so they’re also zeroing in on Roman Polanski’s masterpiece chiller ROSEMARY’S BABY (CGI Antichrist!).

Easy there, fans of Mia Farrow and demon fetuses — according to the report, Dunes is just “in talks” with Paramount about a potential remake. But considering their ability to get new versions of TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, AMITYVILLE HORROR and THE HITCHER made (and with FRIDAY THE 13th and NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET reboots on the way), it’s probably inevitable.

The creepy 1968 original, based on a novel by Ira Levin, starred John Cassavetes as an ambitious New York actor whose desire for fame and fortune leads to a devious trade for wife Mia’s reproductive capabilities.
