Salma Hayek is ready to put her pregnancy and new baby behind her and return to being a freak. Specificially she will be playing a freak in the upcoming kids horror-drama CIRQUE DU FREAK. Before you and JoBlo get all excited about the return of the lovely Ms. Hayek to the big screen, get this: she’s playing the bearded lady. Sigh. First pregnancy and now the bearded lady? It’s a good thing we love her so much and have pictures like those to the right to remind us of why we love her so much. The film stars the previously cast John C. Reilly as a vampire who recruits a 14-year-old to join him as his assistant. The kid becomes a half-vampire and spurs a war between good and bad vampires. Paul Weitz (ABOUT A BOY) is directing based on the 12-book series by Darren Shan. Universal is set to begin production on the film next month. Hopefully sometime after that we’ll see a return to the glamorous for Salma. How about a movie where she meets and falls in love with a lonely webmaster?…
