Spike Lee may be controversial and a little, well, nutty, but the man can direct the shit out of pretty much anything and, beyond that, his works are infused with such profound meaning and purpose, we’re fortunate he directs with relative regularity and not wait fifteen years in between films…*cough*Daren Aronofsky*cough*. ANNA, tells the story of four black American soldiers who get trapped in a Tuscan village during WWII and the folks at BlackFilm have gotten the film’s first stills. Click through to check out the pics. The flick won’t be released until 2009 but you can bet your ass it’ll be all kinds of awesome.
