This is a rumor, so you know the drill; don’t tell that girl you’re trying to impress about it, since it will likely blow up in your face. But the story today is that following Sacha Baron Cohen into Spielberg’s movie CHICAGO SEVEN, are a bunch (or possibly all) from Will Smith, Taye Diggs, Adam Arkin and Kevin Spacey. Philip Seymour Hoffman is allegedly in place to play the lawyer who represented the protesters, William Kunstler, and will probably be in place for an Oscar once he’s done acting the shit outta the role. It’s definitely a little fishy, since it reminds me of that scene where Tom Cruise happens upon a bunch of kiddie photographs in MINORITY REPORT. I’ve heard people say Spielberg wouldn’t need a headshot of Will Smith to know whether or not you want him for a role, but maybe the man likes to see pictures of his ensemble cast so he can visualise shit, maybe that’s just how he rolls. And if I could roll like Spielberg it would be awesome, since he’s, you know, Spielberg. Although I’m pretty sure you would generate more speed rolling like other slightly more heavy set directors. So, you know, swings and roundabouts really. Also, I am so sorry that a piece about Kevin Spacey, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Steven Spielberg turned into a overly-long and underly-funny fat joke.
