Julia Child: The Movie

JoBloJoBlo

While Dan Aykroyd’s impersonation may be the most memorable personification of master chef Julia Child, Meryl Streep is looking to leave her mark as well. Streep will star with Amy Adams in the upcoming comedy JULIE & JULIA. Based on the book “Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen,” the film will be directed by Nora Ephron, who also wrote a draft of the script. The story tells the tale of a secretary who decides to cook every single recipe in Child’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” over the course of a year. Sony is looking to start production in early 2008, getting it moving before the start of the strike. Streep can be seen next in LIONS FOR LAMBS while Adams has ENCHANTED and CHARLIE WILSON’S WAR still on the way. Finally, no matter how good this movie turns out to be it will never be as compelling as Julia Child cooking with a tranny. Seriously.
