Lionsgate has acquired the worldwide rights to the life of iconic theoretical physicist luminary Albert Einstein and are planning to develop a feature based on his formative years, specifically from ages twenty to forty, ending somewhere around the time he won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921. Understandably, the film will explore both Einstein’s professional and personal life and, as per Variety, he “had a reputation for philandering in his formative years.” No way. The Albert Einstein? Mild-mannered, brilliantly unparalleled, groundbreaking physicist by day, snatch-crazed fiend by night? He’s like a superhero!
Einstein biographer Walter Isaacson, who penned the biography “Einstein: His Life and Universe”, will serve as a consultant on the film with a screenwriter and director soon to be announced.
