The most well-liked and probably the biggest movie star in the world is at it again. Tom Sizemore has signed to star in the film SEVEN POUNDS, about a man who falls in love while trying to kill himself. And by Tom Sizemore I mean Will Smith, by the way. Smith will be reuniting with the team behind PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS, which not only made Smith millions at the box office, but landed him his second Oscar nomination as well. Gabriele Muccino, who directed PURSUIT, will do it again with this one. A winning combo is a winning combo, and a Will Smith misfire is rare, so expect big things from this one. Smith is currently shooting the superhero satire HANCOCK and has I AM LEGEND bowing this winter. Meanwhile, I continue to thoroughly enjoy reruns of THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR.
