Anne Hathaway has signed on to lead an ensemble cast in Jonathan Demme’s DANCING WITH SHIVA. Not much is known about the script other than its a comedy and it was written by Jenny Lumet, daughter of Sidney (she’s not the one with the gigantic boobs – that’d be Amy Lumet). Also joining Hathaway in the film are Bill Irwin, Anna Deveare Smith and Debra Winger. Demme is currently finishing his documentary HE COMES IN PEACE and will begin production on SHIVA this September in Connecticut. Hathaway can be seen next year in both GET SMART and the thriller THE PASSENGERS.
