Is Pixar done with sequels after TOY STORY 3? Not according to THIS GUY. He says he’s heard from the omnipresent “reliable source” that after Pixar’s done with Woody and Buzz’ third rollicking adventure, they’re heading back to the racetrack for a CARS sequel. Apparently, Paul Newman talked about a sequel a while back but he also talked about retiring so who knows what that crazy bastard’s talking about. If there is a CARS 2: ROUTE 66 BOOGALOO, though, where do you go after our selfish, hotshot race car becomes the honest, decent fellow we always knew he would be? A descent back into selfish assholery? Speaking of which, is anyone really clamoring for a sequel to CARS? Of course, it’s still just a rumor so take this all with a quarter ounce of sodium chloride crystals.
