Demi vs. Mrs. Cruise?

JoBloJoBlo

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Demi Moore and Katie Holmes recently auditioned for role’s in the upcoming feature adaptation of the Broadway hit NINE. The two actresses reportedly did a song and dance for director Rob Marshall (CHICAGO) in hopes of landing one of the six lead female roles. The Weinstein Co. production is looking to get underway this fall and would be based on the 1982 Tony award-winning play. Be careful how much you read into this because a) it’s Page Six and b) the very same Page Six ran an article not three months ago saying that Gwyneth Paltrow, Anne Hathaway, Nicole Kidman, Judi Dench, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Renée Zellweger were the frontrunners for the role. One thing Harvey Weinstein is good at, it’s generating press from thin air so remind yourself this is probably nothing more than Harvey getting his project in the paper with two of the hottest tabloid targets in Mmes. Moore and Holmes on a slow news week. And it worked because here I am writing about it. You suckered me in Weinstein! Damn you!!
