Frank Langella, cinematic Perry White and Broadway actor extraordinaire, has signed on to star opposite Elliott Gould and Laura Harring in the indie thriller ON THE HOOK. Written by Alan Didier-Weill and under A HOLE IN ONE director Richard Ledes, the story follows an “energy-biz exec” (Langella) who, with the help of a private investigator (Gould), conspires to expose his company’s seedy practices. Harring will presumably play “the girl”. Production is scheduled to begin in Gotham this summer. Langella will next be reprising his Tony Award-winning role of Richard Nixon for Ron Howard’s feature film adaptation FROST/NIXON and can next be seen in the indie drama STARTING OUT IN THE EVENING, in which he bumps uglies with Lauren Ambrose.
