Apple offers rentals

JoBloJoBlo

Apple Now that Apple is done cornering the online music market, they’re apparently setting their sights on taking over the online film rental market. They’ve recently entered into talks with studios about launching an online film rental service that would compete against cable and satellite TV operators’ VOD (Video On Demand) services as well as similar services offered by Microsoft Xbox Live, Movielink and Unbox. They already have deals in place with Disney and Paramount for full-length feature downloads so it’s a safe bet at least these two studios will endorse this venture. And, there’s a very good chance they’ll manage to convince most of the other studios to sign up because, really, people want to be in the Apple download business. What do you guys think about it?
