The Clone Wars trailer

JoBloJoBlo

The puppet masters pulling the strings behind the curtain at the official STAR WARS website have gone ahead and posted the first trailer for the upcoming animated series STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS. Unfolding between ATTACK OF THE CLONES and REVENGE OF THE SITH, it looks like they’ve really managed to capture the feel of prequels, which for some of you, may not be a good thing. Don’t confuse this with the original CLONE WARS cartoon which aired on the Cartoon Network from 2003 to 2005. This is a continuation of that earlier series and has the word ‘the’ in front of it to distinguish itself from its predecessor. Also, it’s done 3D CGI animation, which everything but the actors at Lucasfilm is these days. The series is said to be episodic, so don’t expect the whole thing to focus on the misadventures of young Anakin, as one rumoured episode centers solely on Storm Troopers. The series is expected to debut in the fall of 2008 and you can check the trailer out HERE. Thanks to Kyle for the heads up.
