Petite Canadian pop rocker and burgeoning topless model Avril Lavigne has, until now, merely dabbled in the cinematic world – a little voice-over for an animated film here and small parts in a couple of indie productions there. However, she’s decided to make a more aggressive move towards conquering Hollywood and to that end, she recently told MTV that she’s gearing up for her first starring role in what’s presumably a drama/thriller tentatively titled TWIST OF FATE. While she didn’t reveal the plot seeing as how “It’s nothing set in stone yet“, she did offer that “It’s a darker, kind of more indie film.” We’ll see how long this apparent interest in quality films lasts before the call of the big budget romantic comedy paycheck becomes too unbearable to resist.
