Remember when Dax Shepard, hot off “Punk’d” had signed a bunch of movie deals and was set to become the next big thing? Well those movies turned out to be IDIOCRACY, LET’S GO TO PRISON, ZATHURA and EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH. And we all know how those turned out. Dax is still looking to find that breakout role and has signed on to star in the upcoming Tina Fey/Amy Poehler comedy BABY MAMA. Shepard will play the villain of the movie; the two-timing husband of Poehler who is serving as the surrogate mother to Fey. When he starts scamming them, it gets the two women, who previously were having comedic difficulties getting along, to work together. Recently Sigourney Weaver signed on to star as the head of the surrogate agency who places the two women together. Former “SNL” vet Michael McCullers is directing from his own script with Lorne Michales producing. Filming is set to begin later this month while Fey is on hiatus from “30 Rock.”
