Martin Scorsese thought about doing some other non-DiCaprio projects like a story of Jesuit monks called SILENCE and an adaptation of the children’s novel THE INVENTION OF HUGO CABRET. Eventually though, he came back to his first love: LEO. Scorsese and DiCaprio will again work together on the upcoming drama THE WOLF OF WALL STREET. The film is based on the upcoming Jordan Belfort autobiography of the same name that details his work on the stock exchange (and eventual downfall that included fraud, corruption and mob infiltration). The studio has hired Terrence Winter (GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN’) to adapt the script and based on the strength of that script, the project could jump to the top of Marty’s To Do List. Both Scorsese and DiCaprio would produce the film for Warner Bros. and Paramount may come aboard as co-financier based on the terms of Scorsese’s recent deal with the studio. DiCaprio’s next film will be REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, which will reteam him with Kate Winslet. Scorsese hasn’t yet decided on his next film but certainly has a lot to choose from.
