Blunt the Queen

JoBloJoBlo

Emily Blunt, who won raves for her performance in THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA but whose butt chin kinda disturbs me, has signed on to star in THE YOUNG VICTORIA for producer Martin Scorsese. As you might expect, the film will star Blunt as a young Queen Victoria. In 1837 when Victoria was just 18 years old she was awoken and told the King had died and that she was the new Queen. Oddly enough, three years later she married Prince Albert who happened to be her first cousin. Ewww. Jean-Marc Vallee is directing VICTORIA from a script by Julian Fellowes (GOSFORD PARK writer and no relation to Brian Fellows). Scorsese will produce the film with his DEPARTED partner Graham King. Blunt has a number of films on the way including CHARLIE WILSON’S WAR with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts as well as WIND CHILL and THE GREAT BUCK HOWARD.
