Confirming earlier rumors Variety is reporting that adorable “Veronica Mars” star Kristen Bell has indeed signed on to star in the upcoming Universal romantic comedy FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL. Retarded title aside, the film is being produced by Judd Apatow (THE 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN, ANCHORMAN, etc.) so it can’t be all that bad. The film will star Bell as the title character, an actress who dumps her boyfriend and vacations with her new beau only to find her ex is also at the same resort trying to forget about her. Hijinks, wackiness and the like ensue. Jason Segal, star of “How I Met Your Mother,” wrote the script and will co-star with Bell in the film. Bell (object of our own Omar’s obsessions) has the STAR WARS comedy FANBOYS on the way in August and MARSHALL will film in April while Segal and Bell are both on hiatus from their respective series.
