Eddie Murphy has signed on to co-star with comedian Katt Williams in the upcoming DreamWorks comedy MARSHALS. The movie, based on a script written by Williams, follows the first black Marshalls in the Old West. Murphy and Williams struck up a friendship and worked together on last month’s NORBIT. Williams approached Murphy with his script and Muprhy set it up at DreamWorks where he will produce. Williams fame has skyrocketed since appearances on HBO including his popular “The Pimp Chronicles,” which features such bits as “Don’t Drink With Your White Friends” (it’s funny cause it’s true!!!…..) and “Several Types of Niggas.” No word on when filming on MARSHALS could begin but Murphy is set to begin work on STARSHIP DAVE this spring. He also has a project with Chris Rock and Brett Ratner that was supposed to begin production this year. Williams is currently taking his stand-up act across the country.
