Watch out Aronofsky!

Rachel Weisz and Colin Farrell have signed on to star in the upcoming adaptation of Tim Winton’s novel DIRT MUSIC for director Philip Noyce (THE QUIET AMERICAN). The film will star Weisz as Georgie, wife of a fishing king on the coast of Australia. There she falls for a young poacher (Farrell), her husband finds out, the poacher books and…well I won’t give everything away. I dunno about him, but if I’m Darren Aronofsky, I’m on the set of that film every day. “Hey Colin, keep those mitts off my wife’s ass.” Weisz recently signed on to star in THE BROTHERS BLOOM with Adrien Brody and can be seen later this year in DEFINITELY, MAYBE, MY BLUEBERRY NIGHTS and FRED CLAUS. Farrell has the NYC cop corruption flick PRIDE AND GLORY (with Ed Norton) later this year as well. Fans of Weiszonofsky should prepare themselves for the DVD release of THE FOUNTAIN, which Aronofsky confirms will hit stores on May 15th.
