Spade and Rock team

JoBloJoBlo

Ever since BEVERLY HILLS NINJA, Chris Rock made it a point not to star in movies just because they starred friends of his. Lately he seems to be changing his stance starring in THE LONGEST YARD with Adam Sandler and now signing on to star in a comedy with David Spade. Neither Spade nor Rock have had much success with movies so it’ll be interesting to see how they fare when they team up. The two will play patriarchs battling over the same camping spot over a holiday weekend. Spade will write the script with frequent collaborator Fred Wolf. The two teamed up previously on JOE DIRT and DICKIE ROBERTS, neither of which were, well, any good at all. Rock can be seen next in I THINK I LOVE MY WIFE, which he co-wrote and directed, while Spade is currently doing time in the CBS comedy “Rules of Engagement” playing an obnoxious single guy (who would’ve guessed). No word yet on when filming might begin on the still untitled film.
