I’m not sure why there’s this feeling of PIRATES 2 backlash out there – I thoroughly enjoyed it. Call me a sucker for a giant sea monster and Keira Knightley in a loose fitting top. It obviously did very well and I’m sure there are plenty of people who dug it but the fanboys seem to be dogging it lately, which I’m not sure I understand. Isn’t PIRATES to today’s generation what something like INDIANA JONES was to our generation? (Now before you crucify me, I’m not saying PIRATES is anywhere close to INDIANA JONES in terms of quality of movie, just in terms of cultural impact.) In any event, I’m thoroughly looking forward to AT WORLD’S END and today AICN posted a few new production art stills for us to gaze upon. They’re rather spoilery and I picked the one I thought was the least spoilery to highlight below (also because I loved how there’s quite a bit of artistic license to Keira Knightley’s cleavage). There’s some stuff shown that’s probably very climactic stuff but really impressive to see if you don’t mind giving yourself a spoil. Click the link below to head over to AICN before Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer raid these pics like Captain Jack himself.
