Even though the movie is long since wrapped and being prepped for a July release, Sir Ian McKellen has joined STARDUST, the upcoming fantasy film based on the Neil Gaiman novel. McKellen won’t appear on screen but will instead play the role of narrator, walking us through the action. He’s got a great voice for it and it’s nice to finally have a celebrity narrator that isn’t Alec Baldwin or Morgan Freeman. The rest of the cast includes Claire Sampson Danes (she still refuses to take my last name), Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sienna Miller and Charlie Cox. The film is scheduled for release this summer. Don’t forget, you can submit your STARDUST questions to Neil Gaiman at the official website, where he’ll be chatting up fans up until the film’s release.
