Natasha Henstridge, just about the hottest alien (link NSFW) since Jolene Blalock’s T’Pal, has signed on to star alongside Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor in THE TOURIST. What strikes me as odd about the news is that they’re just announcing now that Henstridge joined the cast, which Variety says is currently filming. Meanwhile, in an article in Tuesday’s USA Today, Ewan McGregor says he’s already wrapped his portion of the film and given that he’s the protagonist, I’m betting that’s a pretty good portion. Which leads me also to believe that perhaps Henstridge’s part isn’t exactly huge. But that’s OK. Having the former SPECIES star back in a sexual thriller is good enough news for me. The film, which also co-stars Michelle Williams and Maggie Q, follows an accountant (McGregor) who’s lured into an anonymous sex club by a friend (Jackman) only to become the suspect of a woman’s disappearance. And so on and so forth. No word yet on when the film will be released.
