EuropaCorp and Vertigo Entertainment will introduce you to The Girl in 6E

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

EuropaCorp, the independent studio 62% owned by Luc Besson, and Vertigo Entertainment, the production company behind such films as THE STRANGERS and the upcoming remake of IT, are partnering on an adaptation of author Alessandra "A.R." Torre's THE GIRL IN 6E, a novel about

a young woman with a traumatic past who, due to a severe and unique form of agoraphobia, makes her living as a web-cam girl right out of her apartment. When she realizes that a client intends to kidnap and harm an innocent child, she finally decides to face the world and her inner demons to try and save the girl’s life.

To research her story, Torre spent some time working as a web-cam girl herself. That's dedication to your craft! I would never be able to pull that off.

To adapt Torre's erotic thriller into a screenplay, EuropaCorp and Vertigo have hired a writer who would seem to be the perfect choice for such material: Chloe King, daughter of RED SHOE DIARIES mastermind Zalman King. Chloe penned several installments in the RED SHOE DIARIES series, as well as POISON IVY II, the Alyssa Milano-led sequel to the Drew Barrymore classic.

While this could turn out to be like something you might catch on cable in the wee hours of the morning, one assumes that all parties involved are aiming to make something bigger and better than the usual late night TV fare.
