MTV’s television series Scream continues to add to its cast (even though it airs on June 30th). True Blood alum Amelia Rose Blaire has joined the horror ensemble, reports TV Line.
Blaire will play “Piper Shay, the smart, quirky host of a wildly popular podcast who comes to town to investigate the recent deaths.” Nothing more appealing than a quirky podcast host, lemme tell ya.
The actress joins Willa Fitzgerald (Royal Pains) as shy-yet-popular Emma Duvall, Bex Taylor-Klaus (Arrow) as preacher’s daughter Aubrey Jensen and Carlson Young as bubbly ringleader Brooke Maddox. Additional cast includes Bella Thorne, John Karna, Connor Weil and Bobby Campo.

After a cyber-bullying incident results in a brutal murder, the shocking violence stirs up memories of a killing spree from the past that has haunted some, intrigued others and maybe just inspired a new killer. A group of teens — with two old friends struggling to reconnect at its heart — become lovers, enemies, suspects, targets and victims of an assassin who’s out for blood.
