Syfy’s new series “Dominion,” which is based on Scott Stewart’s angelic horror film LEGION, has added a few more names to its cast: Anthony Stewart Head (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), Roxanne McKee (“Game of Thrones”), Luke Allen-Gale (“The Borgias) and Shivani Ghai (“EastEnders”) have all come aboard the show, according to Deadline.com.
The new batch joins the previously announced Christopher Egan, Tom Wisdom and Alan Dale.
Dominion picks up in the aftermath of a catastrophic war between an army of angels and mankind that has transformed the world. Set against a backdrop of the ultimate celestial battle as it touches down on earth, the series follows the perilous journey of Alex Lannen (Egan), a rebellious young soldier who discovers he’s the unlikely savior of humanity.
Head will play the president of the Senate of Vega, one of the few cities left standing after the war. McKee is the closest thing Vega has to a princess. Allen-Gale is the scion of Vega’s other ruling family. Ghai guests as a foreign diplomat.
Produced by Universal Cable Prods, the “Dominion” pilot is set to begin shooting later this month in Cape Town, South Africa. Stewart is sitting in the director’s chair once again.
