You might recall that last week we brought you the news that Chris Carter was talking about getting another X-FILES movie off the ground; in addition, he had been thinking about adding Simon Pegg to the Muder-Scully adventure. Well, as you might expect, Pegg is totally down for this.
In an interview with The Sun, Pegg expressed his desire to go alien hunting with Carter and friends.
I was a big fan of ‘The X Files’ and I’ve become friends with Gillian since.
”I’ve always loved that show so it’s definitely something I’d consider.
”It’s a great story and it would be nice to see it continue [but] it has to be with David Duchovny and with Gillian.”
Of course, this is all hypothetical; there isn’t currently a film in the works. (At least, nothing official.) But perhaps Pegg’s support will push a new X-FILES closer to being a reality.
