Not even a DARK TIDE can slow down John Stockwell…

After the ludicrous Halle Berry shark flick, Stockwell is already hard at work on a pair of follow ups. One concerns our brand of cinema, a kidnap-revenge yarn called IN THE BLOOD. One glance at the films IMDB page shows a solid genre cast that includes Danny Trejo, Gina Carano (below) and Stephen Lang. Now, according to Deadline, two more actors are diving IN THE BLOOD.

In specific, Diego Boneta (seen right) and the irritatingly ubiquitous Cam Gigandet are both set for IN THE BLOOD. Boneta has already signed up, Gigandet is still negotiating. No details on either of their roles were given.

Written by James Robert Johnston and Bennett Yellin – IN THE BLOOD bubbles up:

When her husband goes missing during their Caribbean vacation, a woman sets off on her own to take down the men she thinks are responsible.

Seems like your typical kidnap-revenge thriller, but given the setting and cast, could be something special.

What says you?
