Jon Voight as Van Helsing? You buying that one?!

Well, Steven Paul certainly wants us to, as he just finished production on DRACULA: THE DARK PRINCE. Pearry Teo directed the flick, shot in Romania, doing so from a screenplay he penned with Nicole Jones. Luke Roberts and Kelly Wenham (below) also star.

No specific details for the flick were given, but Paul is certainly pandering to the tweens here:

“It’s a film that will appeal to the legion of Twilight fans around the world,” said Paul. “Our Dracula is a young, good-looking hero who is betrayed by those closest to him and exacts his revenge on a grand scale.”

Ugh, just when I was starting to get excited about even the umpteenth Dracula movie currently in the works, favorable TWILIGHT references are thrown in. Whack.

Still, Voight as Van Helsing…at f*cking 75 years old. Good for a laugh if nothing else. You agree?
