You a Chan-wook Park fan? How about one of Philip Glass? Well friends, get ready to merge your fandom!

In a new EW article, mention was made that the Oscar nominated composer (Glass) will contribute original pieces of experimental instrumentation for STOKER, Park’s English language debut. As you know, the unnerving thriller stars Nicole Kidman, Mia Wasikowska and Matthew Goode and has a score from Clint Mansell. So how will Glass figure in?

Glass has 105 credits dating back to the 1968 doc INQUIRING NUNS. He’s been nominated for an Academy Award three times, for KUNDUN (1997), THE HOURS (2003) and NOTES ON A SCANDAL (2006). I think his personal best just might be the score for Errol Morris’ superb 1988 doc THE THIN BLUE LINE.

As for STOKER, also featuring Dermot Mulroney and Jacki Weaver, it picks up:

After India’s (Wasikowska’s) father dies in an auto accident, and her Uncle Charlie (Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother Evelyn (Kidman). Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.

STOKER bows March 1st.

You see Kidman’s booty in HEMINGWAY & GELLHORN? Heesh!
