“Game Change” & “Recount” scribe Danny Strong to pen Hunger Games: Mockingjay

Talk about getting all your ducks in a row…

With well over a year until THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE ignites theaters, Lionsgate has already hired Emmy award winning scribe Danny Strong (“Game Change,” “Recount”) to pen the two-part franchise finale, MOCKINGJAY. I guess the plan is to go out with a POTTER or TWILIGHT blaze of (in)glory…think it’ll work?

Strong (seen right), an actor cum writer, also penned THE BUTLER for Lee Butler and has THE LOST SYMBOL possibly in the works. MOCKINJAY seems markedly lighter and younger than his previous writing material, should be interesting to see how he adapts (literally and figuratively).

MOCKINGJAY – already slated for a November 21, 2014 release – picks up after:
