Debunking the casting story we ran last week, Aullidos has it that PAN’S LABYRINTH star Ivana Baquero (right) has denied her involvement in MGM’s CARRIE remake. Granted, the recantation hasn’t been widely covered across the net, so we’ll too take it with the grain of salt…for now.
Judy Greer (below) and Gabriella Wilde were also mentioned in the piece last week, though their involvement seems accurate at this time. It’s only Baquero – set to play the Nancy Allen role in the original – who is denying her participation in the flick. Who knows, maybe her agent simply hasn’t told her yet. Doubtful.
Undoubted is the fact Chloe Moretz, Julianne Moore, Alex Russell and Ansel Elgort will indeed appear in Kimberly Peirce’s take on Stephen King’s very first novel. I like Moretz and Moore, but topping Sissy and Piper is of the tallest orders I can think of. Therefore, all ancillary casting is kind of academic.

And so she did one night, when feeling scorned and humiliated…and growing angrier and angrier…she became the vengeful demon who let the whole town feel her power.
